Choosing Envirocube Storage Tanks for AdBlue

Envirocube ADB in action

Specifically designed for storing AdBlue, the Envirocube Blue tank is made of double-walled steel and features a special internal coating. Envirocube Blue follows the same principle found in all Alorem tanks: a secure, high-quality tank.

How does Envirocube account for AdBlue’s specific characteristics to ensure effective storage?

The main characteristic of AdBlue is that it crystallizes upon contact with air. Outside the tank, AdBlue tends to crystallize and clog the pipes. Envirocube Blue tanks are designed with this in mind. With their double wall, they protect against heat in summer, and the integrated heating protects against cold when the temperature drops. Its internal pump and anti-corrosive coating on the internal walls help slow the crystallization process.

The advantages of the Envirocube storage tank for AdBlue

The Envirocube Blue above all ensures the safety of the tank and helps prevent theft or damage. Beyond this security aspect, Envirocube tanks are stronger and more durable over time than standard plastic tanks, which are more fragile and easily punctured. The Envirocube is made with strong steel, and its 110% retention capacity of the tank’s total volume helps prevent leakage in case of a spill.

The Envirocube Blue also has four lifting rings, allowing the tank to be lifted when empty. Easy to use, the tank is ideal for refueling vehicles with AdBlue directly on-site.

Starting at 7000L, it is possible to compartmentalize (or “split”) the tank to store fuel (diesel, heating oil, GNR, biofuel) on one side, and AdBlue on the other. From a financial standpoint, it is more cost-effective to purchase a large-capacity tank as it allows for economies of scale.
